When to go & what to expect

Early December is the inspiration for this version. Short rains can bring showers, cloud and muddy tracks. We will match your dates to lodge openings and coastal conditions; this is a resident-wildlife journey, with no promised migration crossing.

  • This route focuses on rhino, elephants and the landscape. Wildlife sightings and mountain views vary with conditions.
  • Lewa’s hillside cottages have steps and share a lodge pool. The proposed ol Donyo suite has a private pool.
  • Bush flights may involve connections. Riding, walks, star-bed nights and ocean activities depend on suitability and conditions.
